Ecology Project Competition “Ayalasang tabigatty ayala” Took Place

Within the framework of the 5th shift of the Republican Eco-Festival “EcoTime”, the ecology project competition “Ayalasang tabigatty ayala” has concluded. The main goal of the event is to foster a culture of environmental protection, promote responsible attitudes towards nature, and support projects aimed at solving ecological problems.

Key objectives of the competition:

development of environmental education and awareness;

design and implementation of specific nature conservation projects;

proposing ways to protect the environment from pollution;

increasing environmental activism among young people;

promoting the efficient use of water, air, and land resources;

drawing attention to local environmental issues, particularly the state of Lake Balkhash.

Students from grades 6 to 9 presented and defended their projects. The participants addressed pressing issues such as improving the ecological condition of Lake Balkhash, the impact of metallurgical production on air quality, the role of industrial water treatment, and preventing waste pollution.

The honoured guest and member of the jury was Sholpan Amangeldiyevna Utebayeva, State Environmental Inspector of the Department of Ecology for Karaganda Region. The jury also included a senior teacher-organiser, a methodologist, and a shift curator.

According to the jury’s decision, the winner of the competition was Grade 9 “A”. The winning class achieved excellent results with their project on the theme “The Role of Industrial Water Treatment in Solving the Problem of Lake Balkhash Pollution”.

The winners were awarded in a solemn ceremony, and all participants were wished creative success and continued environmental activism.
